A football club has joined a programme aimed at inspiring teenage girls to get involved in the sport.
CPD Merched Bangor FC has announced its involvement in the Football Association of Wales' (FAW) BE.FC initiative.
The programme aims to empower teenage girls across Wales to participate in football in a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment.
It is part of FAW's broader vision, Our Wales: For Her, which seeks to engage 20,000 women and girls in football by 2026.
With the support of BE.FC, CPD Merched Bangor FC will deliver community-based sessions for girls aged 12 to 16, enabling them to explore their love of football without the pressures of competition.
The programme will provide branded equipment, structured training, and ongoing support from FAW, enabling girls to enjoy the game while building confidence, friendships, and resilience.
Ffion Thomas, treasurer and board member of CPD Merched Bangor FC, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for girls in the area to be part of something special.
"We are so proud of the team’s journey and look forward to working closely with FAW to foster a bright future for female football, both locally and throughout Wales."
Dafydd Evans added: "The BE.FC program aligns perfectly with our club’s mission of making football accessible to everyone.
"Partnering with FAW allows us to strengthen our role in the community and inspire young girls to reach their potential on and off the pitch."
A spokesperson for CPD Merched Bangor FC said the club was "proud" of its connection to Bangor City Stadium, as the club and stadium work together in the hope to "build a lasting legacy for football" in the region.
