SOUTH Africa could be the place for Pyrs sisters Gwenllian and Alaw to make history after the duo were selected in the Wales squad for WXV2.
They were all-set to become the first sisters to play for Wales in 16 years earlier this month in a friendly against Scotland.
But up in Edinburgh, as Wales stared down the barrel of defeat, Wales head coach Ioan Cunningham brought Alaw on from the bench as he withdrew Gwenllian.
But now both sisters have been chosen to represent Wales at WXV2 which starts this weekend in South Africa - paving the way for once more for history to be made.
"I got to watch from the side against Scotland, which was quite cool," Former Coleg Llandrillo student Gwenllian told the BBC.
"It was a really proud moment, not just for me, but for my family as well. She has always been at my games coming to watch me, so it's nice for her to have her chance to play.
"It would have been nice to play together, hopefully we’ll have the chance to do that in the future."
