PADOG rugby sisters Gwenllian and Alaw Pyrs could make history if they appear together tonight for Wales as they take on Scotland in Edinburgh.
With 36 caps, prop Gwenllian is an established name in the side and will start this evening. The former Colleg Llandrillo student made her Wales debut in the 2017 Six Nations and in 2022 was one of the first female players to be contracted by the Welsh Rugby Union.
Tonight's game, which kicks-off at 7pm - is a a warm-up for the WXV2 tournament in South Africa which begins on September 27.
But for the first time Gwenllian's younger sister Alaw has been named on the bench for Wales and, if she is handed her debut, they will become the first sisters to play together for Wales for 16 years.
Wales head coach Ioan Cunningham has already hinted that it could happen.
"Alaw playing for Wales, alongside her older sister Gwenllian, will be a special moment for their family and for all of us," he said.
