ONE of the highlights of the UK motorsport calendar returns to Anglesey Circuit for the sixth year this weekend.
Mission Motorsport’s unique Race of Remembrance features 50 teams in a 1,000km race and attracts a diverse crowd of racers from novices to experts.
Organisation beneficiaries play a huge part in the event; organising, planning, providing, racing, spannering and covering the action.
The 12-hour endurance race will begin on Saturday afternoon and will continue until 9pm when the all cars will return to Parc Ferme until the re-start on Sunday morning.
The Race of Remembrance is, however, a Remembrance Service with a race attached, not the other way around, so the entire focus is on the pit lane service at 11:00am. on Sunday.
At 10:40am, the race is halted by the safety car and all drivers return to be parked on the start/finish line in order.
The Remembrance Service is held in the pit-lane directly below race control, and the race will resume following the ceremony until the finish.
The service is open to all, regardless of whether competing in the event.
