THE final rounds of many sprint championships including the SBD Motorsport UK British Sprint Championship will take place at Anglesey Circuit this weekend.
Adding variety for competitors and spectators, the event will run on the National Circuit on Saturday and the International Circuit on Sunday.
The climax to the season will take place back where it started at the Anglesey venue, with the annual showdown organised by the Longton and District Motor Club.
As well as competitors from their own Northern Speed Championship and Sprint Series, there are entries from the Liverpool Motor Club Speed Championship, the Lotus 7 Speed Series and Westfield Sports Car Club Speed Series, many of whom are also taking part in the Association of North Western Car Clubs Sprint Championship and The Bert Hadley Memorial Championship on Sunday.
The pursuit for final points in the British Sprint Championship will run on both days and are sure to be hotly contested.
The current championship leader, John Graham (Gould GR55B) only has a single point lead over second placed Peter Goulding (Mygale FF200), so competition will be fierce with both pushing their cars to the limit to secure those all-important championship points.
Third placed Nick Algar (DJ Firehawk) will be looking to reduce his points deficit on the leaders, but faces a chase from Matt Hilliam (SBD Dallara FR3RB01) who will be keen to take the final step on the podium.
In addition to being able to spectate from the excellent vantage points around the most scenic circuit in the UK, spectators are encouraged to get up close to the cars and meet the competitors in the paddock.
