BETHESDA ended an inconsistent North Wales Cricket League Division One season with a thumping ten-wicket home defeat at the hands of newly crowned champions Conwy.
The promoted side made light work of their last outing from what has been a memorable season for all involved, and another outstanding performance in the field saw them clean out Pesda’s batting order for just 62 from 27 overs of play.
Things would have been worse had it not been for Ashley Rowlands’ 23 during the latter stages of the innings, with Stan Senior emerging as the pick of a well-rounded bowling attack with figures of 3-15.
The visitors also had notable contributions from Graham Meredith, Anthony Thorp and Patrick Jelley, who all claimed two wickets each at the combined expense of 44.
A standout knock from Conwy opener Jonathon James Davies ensured they reached their required target with the greatest of ease, with the talented batsman wasting no time in bringing an end to proceedings on his way to a ten-boundary unbeaten knock of 62 from just 31 balls.
Their final day defeat ensured Bethesda ended the season in eighth spot.
