BANGOR City have added another new face to their squad with the signing of Aldair Neto.
The left-footed attacking player is the latest to join the ranks at the VSM Stadium, and he has impressed considerably during a trial period following his release by Maritimo 'B'.
Neto turned in two strong performances against Ashton Town and Llandudno Albion, which was enough to convince manager Stephen Vaughan Jr to give him a place in his new-look squad.
Vaughan Jr, said: “He has some real quality.
"He can play wide and behind the striker and he is a really exciting player. He’s played at a very good level in Portugal and I’m looking forward to working with him this season."
Neto, who has played the majority of his career to date in Europe, is also a former Braga and Real Sporting Club under-19 player.
The transfer is subject to approval from the Football Association of Wales, who have suspended the Citizens’ with immediate effect until and up to a week after their upcoming arbitration hearing on August 16.
Bangor City have also confirmed a friendly fixture against Tranmere U23s on Saturday, which is the first game to be played on home soil since the stadium was shut during the summer due to a pitch refurbishment.
Kick-off is 2pm and admission is priced at £2.
