ITV has revealed John Bishop will present a brand new comedy show which will air on Saturday nights, The John Bishop Show.
Liverpool-born Bishop, 54, is currently on the road with his area tour Right Here Right Now and is set to star in Doctor Who alongside Jodie Whitaker as the Doctor’s new companion.
The show will run for six weeks and have celebrity guests from the worlds of TV, film, music and sport in front of a live studio audience.
He will also be joined by stand-up comedians from all over the world who will showcase their talent in the new series.
Bishop said: “We’ve been discussing making a Saturday night show for ITV for a while and I am so glad that we are finally going to be doing it. We want it to be up to date and topical, whilst also fitting the energy and fun that Saturday nights on ITV is known for.”
An air date hasn't been released yet, but it is likely to be in 2022 as Bishop is on tour in the UK this winter until April 2022.
