A MET Office yellow warning for “strong and gusty winds” has been sent out for North Wales.
The warning is in place from 3pm on December 5 until 6am on December 6, and says that some disruption is possible as a result of the winds.
Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Anglesey and Wrexham are among the areas likely to be affected.

In its warning, the Met Office said: “Westerly or north-westerly winds will increase across Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland, North Wales, northern England, the north Midlands and East Anglia during Thursday afternoon and evening.
“Inland gusts of 40-50mph are possible, with perhaps 60-70mph along exposed coasts, especially through the North Channel and Irish Sea, causing some travel disruption.
“Strong gusts will also be associated with heavy showers, which move through at times.
“If you are on the coast, stay safe during stormy weather by being aware of large waves. Even from the shore, large breaking waves can sweep you off your feet and out to sea.
“Take care if walking near cliffs; know your route and keep dogs on a lead. In an emergency, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.”
What to expect
- It’s likely that some coastal routes, seafronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.
- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely.
- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer.
- Some short term loss of power and other services is possible.
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely.
