A MAN has died following a crash which happened in Llanfairpwll on Anglesey last week.

Shortly after 7am on November 18, a red-coloured Peugeot 107 collided with a parked pick-up on Holyhead Road just outside the Tyn Lon Garage.

Officers attended, and the driver of the Peugeot was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

The driver, who police say was in his 80s and “local to the area”, died on Monday afternoon (November 25).

Sergeant Emlyn Hughes, of North Wales Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, is appealing for witnesses.

He said: “I’m urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision and who is yet to speak to us, to do so as soon as possible.

“We’re also keen to trace the driver of what is believed to be a silver-coloured Volvo 40 which was travelling in the opposite direction shortly after the collision as they may have information that could assist with the ongoing investigation.”

Anybody with information is asked to contact officers at the Serious Collision Investigation Unit via the website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 24000975895.
