A PERSON has died on the railway tracks near Connah's Quay today, British Transport Police has confirm.
At approximately 9am (November 21), emergency services including Welsh Ambulance Service and North Wales Police were called to an incident. Sadly, an individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks just after 9am today (21 November) near Connah's Quay.
“Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a person was pronounced deceased. The incident is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Transport for Wales has cancelled services as a result, with bus replacements being confirmed between Chester and Llandudno Junction.
The disruption is expected until 4pm today.
