GWYNEDD and Anglesey will pay their respects to the British servicemen who died while serving their country through a host of remembrance services across the region.
Below is a list of the remembrance arrangements in Gwynedd and Anglesey in 2024:

Aberffraw
Aberffraw Community Council has purchased lamp post poppies from the Royal British Legion, which are now proudly on display throughout the village.
This year, the annual service will be on Sunday, November 10 at St Beuno’s Church.
The village of Aberffraw lost nine men in the First World War and three in the Second World War.
Amlwch
Rev Jenny Clarke is leading the commemorations in Amlwch.
There is a church service in St Eleth’s Church on Sunday, beginning at 10am, followed by the act of remembrance outside the memorial hall beginning at approximately 10.45-50am.
Bangor
Bangor is holding its traditional Remembrance Day parade and service on Sunday.
The parade will muster at the High Street’s town clock at 9.30am and commence processing St Deiniol's Cathedral at 9.45am.
At 10am, the service of remembrance will be held in the cathedral, followed by playing of the last post, wreath-laying and two minutes silence at the war memorial.
Bryngwran
Bryngwran Community Council has a service at 11am on Sunday at the memorial, on High Street.
Caernarfon
The town council will organise a service at 10.45am at the war memorial on the Maes in Caernarfon.
Corris
There will be a short remembrance service in Corris Institute on Sunday, beginning at 10.45am; all are welcome.
Criccieth
A service will be held at Criccieth Memorial Hall on Sunday, commencing at 10.45am.
The gardens of its memorial hall will be adorned with crocheted and knitted poppies, including purple poppies to remember the animals lost during the war
The “hall of memory” at Criccieth Memorial Hall will also be open on Monday, November 11 for people to pay their respects.
Edern
Service by the Cenotaph to start at 1.30pm on Sunday.
The road will be closed during the service by the cenotaph, from The Ship to the Groesffordd on Lon Gerddi.
Gwalchmai
Gwalchmai Community Council has a service at 10.15am on Sunday at Moriah Welsh Independent Chapel, followed by a service at Gwalchmai Clock at 11am.
Holyhead
There is a service at the town hall in Holyhead at 10am on Sunday, and a procession from the hall to the cenotaph at 10.45am for another service at the cenotaph at 11am.
Llanddaniel Fab
There will be a service at the village memorial on Sunday morning, before 11am.
Llanddona
There is a service at 2pm this Sunday at the war memorial, at Capel Peniel.
The owners of the chapel are serving refreshments afterwards.
Llangefni
A remembrance service is to be held on Sunday.
The parade will congregate at the town hall car park at 10.20am, before it proceeds to the cenotaph on Glanhwfa Road by 10.45am, where the service will commence at 10.50am.
Llangelynnin / Llwyngwril
There will be a church service in Llwyngwril on Sunday, followed by wreath-laying at the cenotaph.
Llannerchymedd
Service at 9.45am on Sunday in St Mary’s Church, then on to the war memorial on Amlwch Road for another service at 11am.
The road will close both ways for approximately 10 mins to facilitate the service and ensure attendees safety.
Moelfre
Moelfre Community Council, in conjunction with the church, will be holding a service at the memorial stone in Moelfre at 10.45m on Sunday.
Morfa Nefyn
Service by the cenotaph to start at 1pm on Sunday.
Nefyn
Service at Eglwys Dewi Sant to start at 3pm on Sunday, followed by a service by the cenotaph at about 3.30pm.
The road will be closed during the service by the cenotaph, from Nanhoron Hotel to Nefyn School on Ffordd Dewi Sant.
Pentraeth
A remembrance service will be held on Sunday at 10.45am at the Second World War Cenotaph by the memorial hall, and to follow at the First World War Cenotaph in Pentraeth Square.
Porthmadog
A service will be held at Bryn Coffa at 10.50am on Sunday, followed by a procession from Bryn Coffa to Drill Hall at Clwb Llyn Bach.
Rhosneigr
Remembrance Sunday service at the war memorial clock at 11am.
Ty Croes
Remembrance Sunday service at the war memorial, at Bryn Du, at 10.45am.
Tywyn
On Sunday, the parade to St Cadfan’s Church will leave the leisure centre at 10.15am with the service beginning at 10.45am.
Following the service, there will be refreshments available at Neuadd Pendre.
The service at Bryn Paderau will be at 10.45am on Monday, November 11.
Valley
Remembrance service on Sunday at 11.15am at St Michael’s Church.
This is to be followed by short service and wreath-laying ceremony at Ynys Wen Cemetery at 12.30pm. All are welcome to attend.
