A team of surveyors have returned to an Anglesey school they helped to build.

CQS Solutions and Bowen Consultants, based in Telford and Welshpool, were involved in the construction of a new building at Ysgol y Graig in Llangefni for Isle of Anglesey Council.

Tim Lloyd, managing director, and senior quantity surveyor Alwyn Williams are now participating in a programme to instil enterprise skills and connect children with industry professionals.

Earlier this year, the new Foundation Phase building at Ysgol y Graig opened, accommodating 150 more primary-age children.

Its net-zero design means it uses no more energy than it generates.

Mr Williams said it had been a 'fascinating project to work on' and he was 'delighted' when the company had been invited back to take part in the 2B Enterprising scheme at the school.

The scheme promotes the development of enterprise skills, addressing themes like sustainability, wellbeing, inclusion, and diversity, and links the school with a business partner to sponsor the sessions.

Mr Williams said: "It was great to be back and really interesting to talk to such a lively group of youngsters about what we do and how we were involved in their school."
