A BANGOR restaurant was named “curry house of the year” at a UK-wide awards ceremony last week.
Bangor Tandoori Restaurant, on High Street, took home the prize at the National Curry Awards, held at the House of Lords on October 21.
The awards celebrates the most successful businesses in the curry industry across the UK.
Bangor Tandoori, said, he was “beyond proud and honoured” to win the “prestigious” award.
Md Mustakim Raza, ofHe added: “This incredible achievement wouldn't have been possible without our amazing team members, the chefs who work their magic in the kitchen, and every member of our staff who puts their heart into making Bangor Tandoori.
“A huge thank you to all of our wonderful customers for your continued support and loyalty. This award is as much yours as it is ours.
“We look forward to continuing to serve you.”
Earlier this year, a chef at Bangor Tandoori, Md Rafiqur Raza, was honoured as one of the UK’s best 120 in Indian and Asian cuisine.
The restaurant, open since 2016, also received a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award last year.
