A MAN was airlifted to hospital following a crash in Anglesey yesterday (October 27).
Shortly after 1am, North Wales Police received a 999 call reporting a collision on the B4422 at Rhostrehwfa involving a blue-coloured Ford Fusion and a pedestrian.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a local man aged in his 40s was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by ambulance.
He was later transferred to the Royal Stoke University Hospital by the Wales Air Ambulance, where he remains with what police describe as "serious, potentially life-threatening" injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information, with officers urging motorists who may have been travelling along the B4422 and who may have dash cam footage, or any local residents who may have CCTV/front door camera footage, to contact them as soon as possible.
Detective Sergeant Katie Davies of the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit said: “Our enquiries to establish what happened are underway and we are making a renewed appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information to please get in touch with us.
"Any little bit of information could be vital in helping is piece together what happened.”
