POLICE have launched an appeal after a pedestrian was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following an RTC near Llangefni.
North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the B4422 Rhostrehwfa near Llangefni on Anglesey in the early hours of Sunday (October 27).
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a Ford Fusion shortly before 1.15am.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital in North Wales by road, before being airlifted to Stoke University Hospital.
Sergeant Daniel Rees of the Roads Crime Unit has commented “At 01:13 hours this morning emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a Ford Fusion car on the B4422 Rhostrehwfa near Llangefni on Anglesey.
"The pedestrian was transported to a North Wales Hospital before being transferred to Stoke University Hospital by air ambulance having suffered serious injuries.
"We are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward. We would also like to speak to anyone who may have been travelling along the B4422 Rhostrehwfa around this time and may have seen a pedestrian or have dash cam footage, or local residents who may have CCTV footage to contact us.”
