A SECONDARY school in Bangor has closed early for half-term after rats were found at its premises.
Ysgol Tryfan is shut today (October 24) and tomorrow, and will re-open to pupils on November 4.
Steps are being taken “immediately” to address the issue, Gwynedd Council said.

A council spokesperson said: “Following discussions between the school and the council’s environment department regarding the presence of rats in the main school building, a decision was made to close Ysgol Tryfan on October 24.
“The school will remain closed for pupils on October 25 due to an inset day.
“The decision to close was made so that steps can be taken immediately to address the problem so that the school can re-open fully after the half-term break on November 4.”
