A WOMAN from Bangor has won a payout of more than £5,000 from her former Anglesey employer, after a tribunal ruled that she was unfairly dismissed.
Sharon Ashworth will be paid £5,884.44 from the Llanfairpwllgwyngyll estate of the late Brian Charlton.
Christine Charlton, acting on behalf of the estate, did not present a valid response to Ms Ashworth’s initial claim, which was made on April 29, 2023.

The tribunal found that an “unauthorised deduction” was made from Ms Ashworth’s wages in January 2023, meanwhile.
Ms Ashworth was also not paid for holidays accrued but not taken.
In total, the payments that will be made to Ms Ashworth comprise the following sums:
- Wages - £557.50
- Notice Pay - £1,029.20
- Holiday Pay - £205.33
- Redundancy Pay - £1,542.81
- Unfair Dismissal - £2,292.30
- Failure to provide a written statement of employment particulars - £257.30
The tribunal, which Mrs Charlton did not attend, was held before Employment Judge Moore via videolink in September.
