A FLOOD alert has been issued by Natural Resources Wales affecting parts of north Wales.
Areas along the North Wales coast from the Dee estuary, including parts of Flintshire and Cheshire, to the east coast of Anglesey.
In Flintshire, the River Dee running through Shotton, Connah's Quay and Flint have all been affected.
The risk of flooding is a result of the combination of the high tides and weather conditions from Sunday morning (October 20) into the early hours of Monday morning. A yellow warning alert was issued by the Met Office affecting parts of north Wales over the weekend, with Storm Ashley hitting the UK.
A spokesperson said: "Be careful on beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths, roads, low lying land, close to the estuary. We will continue to monitor the situation."
