A MAN from Pwllheli has been jailed for driving offences, just months after being sentenced for a similar matter.
Andrew Smythe, 58, of Crown Hotel, was stopped yesterday morning (October 7) and arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol, disqualified, and without insurance.
Officers were patrolling the Bangor area in the early hours of the morning and due to the poor manner of driving, the vehicle was stopped where they discovered that Smythe was the driver
Smythe was sentenced only a few months ago for drink-driving.
He appeared in court later yesterday, where he was sentenced to 18 weeks’ imprisonment, and a further four-year disqualification from driving.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said yesterday: “Today, the courts decided that Smythe has shown a complete disregard for his current disqualification.”
