Holyhead residents attended a community event to learn about the town's regeneration projects.

Held at Holyhead Market Hall, the event aimed to inform locals about plans to revitalise the town centre.

Representatives from project partners explained the upcoming work which starts on Stanley Street and includes improvements to infrastructure, public spaces, and empty buildings.

Attendees had the chance to ask questions, share ideas, and provide feedback on the anticipated changes.

Leader of the Isle of Anglesey County Council, Gary Pritchard, said: "The regeneration of Holyhead is not just about physical improvements, but about creating a thriving town for the whole community.

"We are committed to ensuring that these changes will not only enhance the town’s appeal for visitors but also deliver long-term benefits for residents."

Attendees also had the chance to visit the old HSBC bank building, which closed in 2021.

Plans for this site include tourist accommodation, a restaurant, and a taproom for a local brewery.

The regeneration project is part of a wider programme for Holyhead, delivered by partners including the Isle of Anglesey County Council, Holyhead Town Council, and Môn CF.

It is funded through the Holyhead Regeneration Programme by the UK Government.
