SEARCHES are continuing this week in the Menai Strait area after a 17-year-old boy entered the water on September 20.
The teenager was described to have been wearing jeans and a purple hoodie.
Despite extensive searches by multiple agencies that have continued over the weekend, the boy has sadly not been found.
Specialist drone searches will continue throughout the week, supported by specialist search officers and partner agencies when tide and weather conditions allow.
Chief Inspector Stephen Pawson said: “My thoughts remain with the boy’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
“Our officers continue to provide support to them and are regularly updating them on our investigation.
“We thank the community for their ongoing support and continue to urge members of the public to report any potential sightings to us immediately.
“I understand that community members are eager to assist in the searches. I would urge volunteers to carefully consider the dangers of the coastline and changing weather conditions whilst searches are undertaken to ensure no one is put in harm’s way.”
Anybody with information that can assist police enquiries, or any possible sightings, should be reported to police immediately quoting reference 48138
