A GANG of youths struck a baby in a pushchair while causing a disturbance throwing items around in Caernarfon.
The group, estimated to have been at least 14 -strong also caused damage to vehicles and was captured on police dashcam.
PC Jordan Jones of North Wales Police Neighbourhood Policing Team said "We’ve received reports of youths throwing items, which has subsequently resulted in vehicles being damaged and on one occasion, a baby in a pushchair was hit.
"The recent behaviour in Caernarfon is having a serious impact on residents and is putting community members at risk.
"Luckily, the baby did not sustain any injuries, but this could have been a different story.
"We have so far identified 14 young people between the ages of 9-15 years old who we suspect are involved and officers will be visiting their homes to speak with their families and share information with partner agencies.
"Criminalising young people is a last resort but if incidents continue to escalate, we will need to take formal action.
"I would urge parents and carers to support us by speaking to your children about where they are going in the evenings and the consequences that anti-social behaviour can have on the lives of those around them."
Anyone with information or additional footage of any anti-social behaviour on the A4085 near Segontium has been asked to contact North Wales Police via their website, by calling 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
