THE OWNER of a dog which fell from a cliff near a popular beach in Anglesey has thanked lifeboat staff for helping the pet in its moment of need.
On Wednesday, July 31, the team at Trearddur Bay Lifeboat Station were tasked with helping springer spaniel Marshall, who had fallen down a cliff near Porth Ruffydd.
After locating the pooch, the team reunited him with the owner.
The lifeboat crew have now received a letter of thanks from the owner on behalf of Marshall, which hailed the "amazing" crew that rescued him.
The thank you card reads: "Huge huge thank you for coming to my rescue at The Range in Holyhead.
"I followed my brother down but couldn't get back up!
"My "granny was so upset but thankfully the RNLI and Coastguards came to my rescue.
"You are all amazing - thank you from Marshall."
A spokesperson for Trearddur Bay Lifeboat Station said: "You may remember last Wednesday evening, a dog that had fallen down a cliff near Porth Ruffydd and our lifeboats were tasked to go and help him
"Well, the other day we received this lovely thank you card and we are happy to say Marshall is absolutely fine.
"If your four legged friend gets into difficulty around the coast like Marshall - don't be tempted to go after them.
"Instead, do what Marshall’s owner did and call and ask for the Coastguard."
