SEVEN years after grabbing a brief concert selfie in Florida, Sian Jones was stunned to see 80s pop icon Tiffany walk into her North Wales B&B.

Sian owns the Griffin Inn in Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd where Tiffany, best known for her global hit 'I Think We're Alone Now', checked in to stay ahead of her appearance at the Rewind North Festival in Macclesfield.

What made the encounter even more incredible was that in 2017 Sian and daughter Helen had grabbed a selfie with the artist at Eat to the Beat - an 80's tribute concert at Disney's Epcot in Florida.

"I was genuinely shocked when she walked in," said Sian. "We had the two rooms booked and as they all came in we realised quickly that they were a band.

"But when I recognised Tiffany it was crazy. I've always loved her and when I told her that I had this selfie of her with me and my daughter Helen from seven years ago she couldn't believe it.

"She was really happy to spend time with us and it was great to get another selfie with the three of us too."

The star left a lovely review of the Griffin Inn's food and accommodation and posting a selfie on her own Instagram - @tiffany_tunes.

"It was brilliant," said Sian. "For someone who has probably stayed in some incredible hotels to put us up there among the best means the world to us.

Tiffany also told Sian that after the festival - where she performed alongside fellow legends Gabrielle, Billy Ocean, Kim Wild, Nik Kershaw, Bad Manners, former Fine Young Cannibals singer Roland Gift and ex-Katrina and the Waves singer Katrina Leskanich - she would be doing a few other UK concerts before heading back to Epcot for another season.

"While we chatted I did tell her about the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod," said Sian. "She wasn't aware of it but I gave her some details for her manager. I think it would be fantastic if she could come back again to perform there."
