A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Anglesey on July 27.

Shortly after 1:30pm, police received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A545 outside the Texaco Garage near Beaumaris involving a grey coloured Peugeot 207 and a black and white coloured Honda motorcycle.

The Peugeot was travelling from the direction of Menai Bridge and the motorcyclist was travelling in the opposite direction.

The emergency services attended the scene, and the 22-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and information about the crash.

Detective Constable Eleri Jones of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “I am urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision and who are yet to speak to us to contact us as soon as possible.

“Equally, I am appealing to anybody who may have been in the vicinity at the time of the collision, or just prior, and who may have dash cam or mobile phone footage to please get in touch.”
