A Gwynedd company's team, dubbed Drywall Dragons, are set to challenge the notorious Tough Mudder race for charity.
The group of 13 men from CDL Partitions Ltd of Penrhyndeudraeth plans to conquer the Skipton, Yorkshire based obstacle race on July 27.
The race, well-known as one of the UK’s hardest, consists of 20 challenges in a 15km stretch.
The team are taking on the challenge to raise funds for the Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices.
The determined Drywall Dragons have been waiting to help the hospice charity since 2020.
Bob Chamberlain, CDL’s managing director, expresses his pride and admiration saying: "I am so proud of all our employees who have risen to the challenge and already raised in excess of our £3,000 target for the brilliant Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices."
Mr Chamberlain praised the team’s commitment adding: "They are training hard to ensure a great performance on the day for all their kind sponsors.
"Well done to everybody for the huge effort and I look forward to cheering you on in Skipton."
He will join other employees not participating in the race, who will come along with their families to cheer for their co-workers.
Jenny Roberts, who fundraises for the hospices in the Gwynedd area, appreciates the firm’s efforts and said: "We’re delighted CDL Partitions have chosen to raise funds for us.
"They truly are rooted in their local community and already do so much for the area.
"I wish them all the best and we’ll be rooting for them on the day.
"Thank you so much."
