VIRGINIA CROSBIE has thanked those that supported her in this year's General Election, in which she lost her Ynys Môn seat.
The former Conservative MP was defeated by Plaid Cymru incumbent MP Llinos Medi, coming second by just 637 votes.
Ms Medi's 10,590 votes (a vote share of 32.5%) were enough to win, followed by Mrs Crosbie's 9,953 votes and Labour's Ieuan Williams on 7,619 votes.

Mrs Crosbie was elected as MP for Ynys Môn in 2019.
In a post on social media, Mrs Crosbie said: "Thank you to everyone who gave their support and worked so hard in the election.
"It was close but it wasn’t to be.
"Huge gratitude to my family and brilliant team.
"I wish Llinos the very best representing this wonderful place. Time to get some sleep."
