Mr Davies and Ms Hughes will be spending their summer holiday in training for the adventure, all in aid of Muscular Dystrophy UK, a charity for those living with muscle-wasting conditions.

There is currently no cure, so the charity fund research into treatments as, well as providing vital support for individuals and families living with these conditions.

Mr Davies said: “This is a worthy cause and we are both passionate about raising money for such a great cause.

“This will certainly be a challenge for us both and we will have the full support of the transformation hub in Mochdre while training over the summer!”
