A PESKY seagull was caught stealing newspapers from a Bangor corner shop on a return to the scene of its past pastry crimes.
Last year, Late Stop 24 on Holyhead Road had a regular visitor – a seagull that would swoop in for croissants.
Earlier this week, the seagull – nicknamed Steven Seagull after the action film star – returned with a thirst for the news.
Steven was caught pinching a newspaper from the store on CCTV, with owner Bipin Chawla believing this could be in preparation for the election.
He said: “Breaking news. Last year we had a regular visiting seagull coming to our store and helping himself to croissants on a daily basis. We nicknamed him Steven Seagull.
"We now find he has returned this summer very refreshed and now obviously bettering himself he is no longer wanting to eat junk food.
“But instead he has decided to improve his knowledge probably with the oncoming election."
