Caernarfon-born Radio 1 presenter Sian Eleri stars in a new BBC series Paranormal: The Village That Saw Aliens, exploring noteworthy UFO sightings in a quiet Welsh village.
The BBC Three and BBC Wales series marks the return of the Paranormal programme, following the first series Paranormal: The Girl, The Ghost and the Gravestone.
In this intriguing sequel, Ms Eleri dives deep into the investigation of the mass sighting of an unidentified flying object by 14 schoolboys.
This event led to a string of ‘close encounters’ reports that quickly triggered speculation of the biggest mass sighting in British history.
Ms Eleri said: "It was a thrill to fly into a new celestial realm in the paranormal universe.
"The world of UFOs, extra-terrestrial activity and other theories around what could exist in our skies is vast, intriguing and ominous.
"It’s been eye-opening to explore such open-ended issues and this series continues to challenge my beliefs - I can’t wait for its launch so viewers can make up their own minds on the case."
Worldwide attention was drawn to the coastal areas of south and west Wales in the 1970s and 80s, as residents reported shocking and unexplained sightings.
A wave of reports followed, adding to the speculation of a monumental mass sighting.
In the series, Ms Eleri embarks on an investigative journey to meet the schoolboys whose 'alien' encounter in the village of Broad Haven, Pembrokeshire initiated this frenzy.
Equipped with the original investigator’s case archive Ms Eleri tries to unravel the mystery of the sighting.
She begins her journey as a sceptic, but the chilling sequence of events encountered leaves her questioning everything she thought she knew.
Paranormal: The Village That Saw Aliens is produced by Twenty Twenty Productions Ltd for the BBC.
All episodes are available on BBC iPlayer.
