A NUMBER of people are being sought by police in relation to a report made that a person may have entered water at the Menai Straits.

No vulnerable people were identified on or around the Menai Straits after a search on Saturday (June 8) following concerns that a person had entered the water.

Police received a call at about 11pm from a concerned member of the public, who said that a person may have entered the waters of the Menai Straits.

A search was conducted by the Coastguard, and officers attended the scene.

But North Wales Police is still appealing to speak to those who were in the area at the time to confirm if there were any further sightings.

In a statement, North Wales Police said: “We would like to speak with the people in the below photos who we believe may have crossed the bridge at a similar time to the report being made.

“If you know who they are, or if it is you, please get in touch with police, quoting reference Q082838.”
