A SEARCH has been launched after concerns that a person entered the waters of the Menai Strait yesterday evening (June 8).
Police received a call at around 11pm from a concerned member of the public, who said that a person may have entered the waters of the Menai Strait.
A search was conducted by the coastguard and officers attended the scene.
Nobody was found, but police are now appealing for more information as they continue to conduct enquiries.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "We are asking the public for any information to identify the individual concerned.
"Officers are continuing to conduct enquiries this morning to try and identify if anyone did enter the water or not.
"If anyone was in the area and saw anyone acting suspiciously, or anyone entering or in the water, please get in touch via webchat
