A home improvement company based in Anglesey is celebrating its 40th anniversary by investing in a Grand Designs-like showroom extension.
Peninsula, situated in Gaerwen, is spending £150,000 on the renovation following a substantial increase in business demand.
To handle this expansion, the company is also looking to hire four new employees to form two additional installation teams.
These teams will serve clients across not just North Wales, but also the North West of England.
Founded in 1984 by the late Barrie Grayson, Peninsula was the pioneer company to manufacture and install PVC windows and conservatories within North Wales.
Transitioning in recent years to focus on more high-end glazing products, similar to the ones featured on television shows like Grand Designs, has resulted in growth for the business.
Chairman Ken Grayson said: "We don’t actually manufacture windows any more but we offer such a wide variety of products from all sorts of different partners, to suit every budget and every style."
This includes collaborations with European brands such as Solurlux, Internorm, Rationel and Velfac.
The decision to specialise has led to an impressive surge in the value of each job undertaken by Peninsula.
The magnitude of the company’s portfolio now includes several contracts more than £200,000.
The planned showroom extension, will feature things like a nine meter-wide, three meter-high sliding door, eight meter long roof light and a sedum roof.
Sales director Dylan Hulse said: "We're seeing more of a push now towards the Chester, Wirral and South Manchester areas.
"We’ve also done jobs as far afield as Cornwall and London.
"“As we continue to grow, the new extension is a big investment but one we feel will pay dividends for us as it provides the perfect way of showcasing some of these fantastic products.”
Christian Hough, head of installers and technical surveyor said: "What sets Peninsula apart is that we do stuff that nobody else can do and that’s exciting."
While, operations director Samantha Hayte said: "Even though it’s a family business, everyone who works here is like family anyway."
The grand reveal of the new extension will happen at a 40th anniversary celebration on Thursday, July 18.
