A MAN has been arrested in connection with an assault that took place at a football match in Anglesey at the weekend.
A 43-year-old man was arrested, and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
The assault took place during the Amlwch Town-CPD Penrhyndeudraeth game on Saturday, 27 April.
Despite media circulation that the victim was a teenager, North Wales Police have confirmed he was not.
Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Gibson said: “Our investigations into the incident are ongoing.
“We are liaising closely with North Wales Coast Football Association and urge people not to speculate or further share footage which is currently being circulated on social media to avoid potentially prejudicing any legal proceedings.”
