YNYS Môn MP Virginia Crosbie went to Ysgol Gynradd in Beaumaris on to read to the children for World Book Day.
The MP received a warm welcome from pupils and staff and she read to the whole school at assembly.
The children were dressed as their favourite characters from books as she read Alfie and the Dragon: Banana Crystal Cave by Holyhead author Tony Roberts.
“Thank you so much to the school for such a warm welcome and I had a lovely time reading to the wonderful pupils,” said the MP.
“It is so important to foster a love of books at an early age through World Book Day as all studies show that children who read for pleasure do so much better at school and in the world of work.
“I very much hope to come back soon. I was invited for lunch and I said I would be happy to put on some marigolds to help out.”
Tony Roberts added: ‘It’s wonderful that Virginia is reading our beautiful books in Beaumaris on World Book Day. I hope the children had a fabulous book-filled day.”
