THE Beaumaris lifeboat crew were called to a report of a boat run aground near the Menai Bridge.
At 9.23am on Saturday (March 9) the volunteer crew members of the Beaumaris lifeboat received a message from the Coastguard relating to a report of a vessel seen aground opposite the pier.
The RNLI said: "As it was suspected that the craft seen was in fact a derelict. The Beaumaris Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington with her volunteer crew was placed on immediate readiness to launch, whilst the local mobile coastguard team investigated from the shore."
At 9.48am, the lifeboat was stood down when the reported boat was confirmed to be the derelict craft.
Once this has been established the crew secured the lifeboat and left the station.
