A CAFÉ near Caernarfon that was visited by the Hairy Bikers has paid tribute to Dave Myers following his death.
The famed TV chef, known for his partnership with friend Si King for more than 30 years, died yesterday at the age of 66.
He had first announced he was receiving treatment for cancer in May 2022, but did not specify what type he had been diagnosed with.
Last year, the motorcycle-riding cooking duo travelled through North Wales for their show The Hairy Bikers Go West, stopping off at several eateries along the way.
One of them, Poblado Coffi, at Y Barics, Nantlle, said they were “deeply saddened” to have learnt of his death.
They added that Myers left them “feeling lucky to have met such a genuine, kind, and authentic person”, who had a “genuine and authentic passion for life”.

In a post on social media, the café said: “Here at Poblado, we are incredibly saddened to hear the news of Dave Myers’ passing.
“As many of you know it was a great pleasure to have them visit us at the roastery last August, and we were really struck by the genuine and authentic passion and interest that Dave had, not just for our roastery, but for life.
“We had a great time chatting with him on, but particularly off camera, and we all left feeling lucky to have met such a genuine, kind, and authentic person.
“It was a privilege to share even just an afternoon with him.
“The news today has left us all feeling a heavy sadness.
“All of us at Poblado would like to join in wishing all of Dave’s family and friends our deepest condolences.”
