A MAN has been jailed after stealing money from an elderly woman’s purse in Pwllheli.
Solayman Daha, 21, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to eight weeks’ imprisonment at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court yesterday (February 26).

The court heard that, on February 20, Daha targeted the woman while she was shopping in the Iceland store in Pwllheli.
He followed her in the shop, before stealing £175 from her purse.
Daha was also ordered to pay compensation.
Speaking after sentencing, district inspector Darren Kane, of North Wales Police, said: “Targeting elderly members of our community will not be tolerated and will be dealt with swiftly.
“We continue to work with partners and local businesses to protect vulnerable residents from criminals.”
