AN EARTHQUAKE was recorded in Gwynedd during the early hours of today (February 8).
Based in the Bethesda region, it had a magnitude of 1.3 on the Richter scale and a depth of 12km.
According to the British Geological Survey, the earthquake was recorded as happening at 12.48am this morning.

An earthquake was last recorded in Gwynedd on December 20 at Capel Carmel, which measured 1.9 on the Richter scale.
Last October, there was another small tremor measuring 1.3 on the Richter scale in Llanfigael, Anglesey.
There is a Met Office amber warning for snow and ice across the county today, meanwhile.
