A WOMAN suffered a lengthy cut to her hip after she fell on a mountain in Eryri on Saturday (January 13).
She and another walker accompanying her were descending from Carnedd Llewelyn, when she slipped and fell, suffering a 15cm-long laceration to her hip.
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation (OVMRO) was called to the incident, before the woman was able to walk down to a team vehicle waiting for her despite her injury.

A statement from OVMRO read: “A nearby group came to help and fortunately, one was a doctor.
“They administered first aid and called mountain rescue for advice before assisting the casualty down the mountain.
“A hill party set off from base with first aid equipment and met the group lower down the hill.
“They gave additional first aid including antibiotics, and the group walked down to a waiting team vehicle.
“Thank you to the assisting group for all your help. Well done to our casualty for a great show of resilience in walking down under difficult circumstances, preventing a lengthy stretcher carry.”
