A MAN from Pwllheli who breached a restraining order by attending his ex-partner’s address and grabbing her arm has been jailed.
David Andrew Roberts, 36, appeared at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court today (January 12) charged with common assault and breach of restraining order.
He was sentenced to 22 weeks’ imprisonment.
On January 8, police were called to an address in Pwllheli following reports that he attended his ex-partner’s address, grabbing her arm and asking to enter, despite being made subject of a restraining order on January 1.
District Inspector Darren Kane said: “Individuals who do not respect orders imposed by the court will be dealt with and made an example of, which can be shown by today’s result.
“Roberts breached the conditions that were put in place to protect his victim, which must have caused her fear and distress.
“I commend the victim for their bravery to report this breach of conditions, and hope they are reassured by the sentence imposed.”
