A MAN from Anglesey has pleaded guilty to six counts of child sexual abuse.
Richard Parry, 24, of Penysarn, had been accused of the following offences, all committed on Anglesey on October 22:
- Sexually assaulting a boy.
- Four counts of causing/inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity.
- Engaging in sexual communication with a child.
Parry pleaded guilty to all of the above at Caernarfon Crown Court today (December 4).
Having been remanded in custody since November 6, he appeared in court today via videolink.
His sentencing will take place at Caernarfon Crown Court on January 30, with Parry remaining on remand until then.
Dafydd Roberts, representing Parry, conceded that “only an immediate custodial sentence can be passed” in his case.
But he asked if the court could adjourn his sentencing, so that pre-sentence and psychiatric reports can be compiled in the intervening period.
Judge Nicola Saffman, presiding over the hearing, agreed, but told Parry: “You’re going to prison for a very long time.
“Be in no doubt, the only sentence you will face is one of a lengthy custodial sentence.”
