A MAN from Anglesey has been found guilty after trial of stabbing an ex-soldier in January 2022.
James Owen Rees, 19, of Lon Isallt, Trearddur Bay, will be sentenced on Thursday, December 21.
At Caernarfon Crown Court today (November 23), a jury found him guilty of wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article in Holyhead.
John Griffith, the victim of the attack on January 7, 2022, was said to have been left in a “life-threatening condition”.

Detective Constable Leslie Ellis said: “I welcome today’s verdict. The incident left the victim in a life-threatening condition and shocked those involved and the town of Holyhead.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for their assistance during the investigation and to reassure that North Wales Police will strive to protect our communities from those that cause harm and misery.
“We will not tolerate violence and will seek justice for the victims of any such crime.
“We remain committed to making north Wales the safest place to work, live and visit in the UK.”
Rees is remanded in custody until his sentencing hearing.
