NORTH Wales Police say a "thorough" search of a ditch near the A4805 has been conducted following the death of four missing teenagers.
The force confirmed yesterday that four bodies had been recovered from a car near the A4805 at Garreg.
The bodies of Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson and Hugo Morris were recovered from a silver Ford Fiesta in Eryri (Snowdonia) on Tuesday, November 21.
The boys' ages have been confirmed: One was 16, two were aged 17 and one was 18-years-old.
After the car had been found, underwater near Tremadog, North Wales Police have since conducted a search of an irrigation ditch nearby the road.
A statement this evening from Supt Owain Llewellyn said: “Local officers and colleagues from the North West Underwater Search Team have now concluded a thorough search of an irrigation ditch just off the A4085, in order to ensure that all items of property have been recovered.
“The road will be reopened by the Local Authority Highways Department later this evening, and I would like to thank the local community and motorists for their patience today whilst we undertook this vital work.
“We continue to update and support the families at this difficult time.”
