A CAERNARFON hotel is “absolutely thrilled” to have been nominated for a ‘hotel of the year’ tourism award.

Plas Dinas Country House, with its award-winning Michelin Guide-rated Gunroom Restaurant, has been shortlisted for two awards at the 2023 Go North Wales Tourism Awards.

It is now in the final of the ‘Eating Out Experience of the Year' and 'Small Hotel of the Year' categories.

Plas Dinas has won Hotel of the Year the past two years, and is the reigning champion in the eating out experience award.

The five-star, Grade II listed property dates back to the mid-17th century, and was the home of the influential Armstrong-Jones family.
