A MAN has been jailed after attacking a woman at a hotel in Caernarfon.
Geoffrey Edward Hallett, 25, of Rhondda Cynon Taff, was sentenced at Caernarfon Crown Court today (October 13) after admitting offences of wounding, actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
Whilst staying in a hotel in Caernarfon on February 6, 2022, Hallett punched the victim in the face and deliberately broke her phone, before assaulting her a second time when she tried to leave the room.
A judge sentenced him to one year and 10 months in jail.
Detective Constable Eifion Patchett said: “I commend the victim for her courage during the investigation.
"Her bravery following a traumatic experience has led to Hallett’s conviction today.
“I would like to thank the members of the public who intervened and safeguarded the victim from further harm.
“We are committed to pursuing anyone who commits violence against women and girls and will bring offenders to justice.”
