A MAN from Bangor has been jailed after shoplifting, making threats to damage property, and breaching a criminal behavioural order (CBO).
Tony Sturrs, 36, of Love Lane, was sentenced to a year’s imprisonment at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on Monday (October 2).
He had previously admitted charges of breaching a CBO, threatening to damage property, and theft from a shop.

The court heard that, on September 20, Sturrs entered the “Trespass” shop on High Street, Bangor, which he was preventing from doing by the CBO issued to him at Caernarfon Crown Court on April 8, 2015.
Sturrs then stole a fleece, worth £27.99, from the store.
On September 29, at St Mary’s House, Sturrs threatened staff that he would cause damage to the property using a metal bar.
Following Sturrs’ sentencing, District Support Sergeant Andy Davies said: “Sturrs is a persistent offender who has, once again, shown disregard for court orders.
“We hope today’s outcome provides reassurance to those who live and work in the area who have no doubt been impacted by his actions.”
Sturrs will also pay a £154 surcharge.
