TWO MEN from Anglesey have been jailed for indecent images and sexual offences.
Richard Samuel Herrington, 25, of Llangefni, has been convicted of two counts of taking indecent photographs of a child and two counts of distributing indecent photographs of a child.
He received a sentence of two years and four months' imprisonment as well as being issued with an indefinite restraining order and a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
Jason Roberts, 49, of Holyhead, has been convicted of committing an offence with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence and two counts of making indecent photographs of a child.
He received a sentence of one year and nine months' imprisonment as well as being issued with an indefinite restraining order and ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
Both men have been placed on the sex offender’s register.
The court also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of all electronic devices used in the commission of the offences by the defendants.
Investigating officer, civilian investigator Amy Jones, said: “I commend the courage shown by everyone involved in this investigation, which has been a difficult and traumatic experience.
“Their bravery has helped to ensure their conviction today.
“Herrington and Roberts clearly have a concerning sexual interest in young children and no level of sentence can begin to reflect the devastation caused from their actions”.
“We take all offences of this nature very seriously and will continue to protect the children in our community from such offenders by ensuring that those seeking to harm children are identified and jailed for their crimes”.
