BRACE yourself! Ffear Fforest is returning to Zip World Betws-Y-Coed this October. 

Ffear Fforest will feature scares, a terrifying horde of clowns, being plunged into darkness via a trap door, plus a new "electrifying experience".

There is also a 'cursed coaster' track.

The immersive Halloween event will run for 21 days between October 12 and November 1.

A statement on the Zip World website said: "Brace yourself this October, as North Wales’ most infamous scare-fest returns to Zip World Betws-Y-Coed.

"Ffear Fforest is back with a bang this 2023, and isn’t just jump-scares; the terrifying horde of clowns, petrifying award-winning adventures by nightfall, plus an all-new electrifying experience, the Paintball Range, make this the ultimate immersive Halloween event that you simply won’t find anywhere else.

"Eerily set in the quiet Welsh woodland, and with night passes available."

CURSED COASTER

With just your headlamp to guide the way, the UK’s only Alpine coaster of its kind becomes the Cursed Coaster when the sun goes down. Weave through the forest in your cart, either braving it alone or sharing with a friend, as you ascend over 700m of track in the eerie, silent woodland, then descend at speed, darting through the trees. You’ll ride this terrifying coaster adventure twice with your Night Pass and will get the chance to be immersed alone in the terrifying blackness of forest at night.

THE NETS

Swarmed with horrifying clowns, The Nets is a bouncy net adventure featuring slides, net walkways, bouncy chambers and lookout decks. Keep your wits about you as you explore the vast space, as the clowns won’t be far behind, stalking, watching and chasing. Take it at your own pace and hop on and off The Nets as you please; but don’t stay still for too long, as there’ll always be an unwanted visitor lurking in the shadows.

NIGHTFALL

Atop the 100 ft tower, you’ll stand on the trapdoors either alone or with a friend, with nothing below you but the vast expanse of darkness and mist as you wait for the drop. Those few nail-biting moments will feel like a lifetime as you wait for the trapdoors to open and you’re plunged into the darkness below, experiencing pure freefall before being lowered safely to the ground.

SCREAMRIDE

Buckle in with up to 4 other people, sit back and surrender yourself to pure adrenaline as you experience the G-force of Europe’s largest 5-seater swing, with the darkness of the sprawling Conwy valley ahead. Don’t look down; you’ll be hoisted and suspended high in the air, before a brave volunteer from your group pulls the release cord, sending you all flying through the mist and darkness.

THE PAINTBALL RANGE

New to 2023, the Halloween Paintball Range will put your reflex and survival skills to the test. Head deep into the eerie forest to the range, where your gun and ammo will be waiting. Splatter the targets as they pop-up in droves, making sure to try and get a headshot to really do some damage. With 100 pellets included, plus the option to add more if needed, you’re sure to come out on top; just make sure to watch your back too, like we said, the clowns are never far behind…
